Anthoine Hubert has taken the first Formula 2 win of his career, as he crossed the line narrowly ahead of Louis Deletraz who kept the Frenchman honest during the race.

Hubert started the race from pole position, after he was classified eighth in the Feature Race. The Frenchman finished Friday's race in ninth, but was promoted following Luca Ghiotto's disqualification.

While Deletraz was close behind the BWT Arden for much of the race, the final handful of laps saw Deletraz close right in onto Hubert, with the two having a drag race to the line, which saw Hubert come out on top.

Nyck de Vries now takes over the lead in the championship, as he crossed the line in seventh place, while former leader Nicholas Latifi failed to score points for the second time this weekend.

Guanyu Zhou took his second podium of the season, as he watched the battle between Hubert and Deletraz unfold in front of him.

Artem Markelov, who returned for a one-off weekend as Jordan King competes in the Indianapolis 500, secured a fourth-place finish for MP Motorsport.

Dorian Boccolacci matched his best result of the season, crossing the line in fifth place, over ten seconds down on Markelov in front.

Sergio Sette Camara was sixth, while new championship leader de Vries was seventh ahead of Nikita Mazepin, who took the final point on offer.

While one BWT Arden revelled in the Monaco streets, the other was eliminated from the race as Tatiana Calderon came together with Luca Ghiotto.

Ghiotto got away with the incident, but soon also found himself watching from the sideline when he collided with Mahaveer Raghunathan at the hairpin.

Both Tridents also failed to see the chequered flag as Ralph Boshchuing's race ended with an engine issue, while Giuliana Alesi was taken out by the Prema of Sean Gelael.
