Tijdens een supportrace in Macau gebeurde er iets opmerkelijks. Het stuurwiel van de coureur liet los, de coureur ging gelijk van het gas af en stuurde met zijn hand. Later kon hij de race hervatten.

The Macau Grand Prix always leaves curious anecdotes, but this time it has been surpassed. One of the Touring Car Cup drivers had his steering wheel broken in the middle of qualifying and the onboard where he is seen dealing with the problem has gone viral.
In fact, the event has been a trend because an onboard of one of its participants has gone viral. This is a video in which you can see how a driver breaks the steering wheel in the middle of qualifying.
This is the pilot Kin Sang Cheang, a local from the Macao region. The Chinese, who competed for the FU LEI LOI Racing Team, at the wheel of a Mini Cooper S is suddenly seen with the wheel in his hands on the straight at high speed.
Despite the situation, Kin Sang remains calm and tries to turn his hand directly on the steering column. The agony lasts 15 seconds until the pilot is able to deftly put the steering wheel back in place, as can be seen in the video shared by Sergio Fonseca.

Ik denk niet dat het stuur echt afgebroken was, zoals die tekst suggereert. Dan had hij het er immers niet zomaar weer op kunnen zetten. Het kwam dus los en hij kreeg het weer vast. Koelbloedige reactie, dat wel.

@stingray, ja naja ik denk dat ze met " breaks the steering wheel" bedoelen, dat het stuur kapot gemaakt/gegaan is (gok zelf dat er iets met het quick-release systeem was). Niet zozeer dat ie afgebroken is :)
